They do make creepy jokes, but they do that to each other as well. Indeed, every time any character but Wednesday or Lurch interacts with outsiders, they are warm, friendly, and generous. We do see them harm other people's property, like ripping apart the lawyer's clothes and breaking windows, but I assume that they just do it for fun and pay the damages, as those expenses would be nothing to them. but the house is quite far from a major roadway, and it might just be a joke or supernatural sound. There's the scene where Pugsley takes the stop sign and causes what sounds like a huge accident. They do allude to harming each other a lot, but that's always willingly, and not usually even shown, which means it might be exaggerated joking as well. They frequently discuss, play with, and idolize violence, death, and torture, but we never actually see them physically harm anyone. I've only seen the movies and a bit of the cartoons, so I'm not acquainted with every version.
